Saint John, Jan 12 - Saint John ONE has jumped straight off the springboard into a swirling pool of media art.
With an ambitious program featuring three nights of documentary films, animation, short action film, and a broad range of other shorts, along with locally produced films, the stage is set for a great week of art, and film as art.
Along with film, music is on the agenda. Each night, a different musical experience and a different set of films to enjoy.

An addition to the line-up this year is the National Film Board, which will present a series of dynamic shorts. Another change is the venue. While last year’s Saint John One was a runaway success and shattered attendance expectations, the expected turnout this year, along with the presentation of art, brought about a need for a large, art-focussed venue. The Saint John Arts Centre became the new home of Saint John One. Organizers promise more and better seating, and a greater number of local films. Special guests will also offer talks. A private, after-event party for sponsors and participants will cap the week.
Advance tickets for Saint John One are available at Imperial Theatre, by calling 674-4100 or 1-800-323-7469; at Harbour Station. Tickets are also available at the door.
