... MOVIE AUDITIONS FOR HOCKEY PLAYERS ::

PACK YOUR GEAR, BOYS!

Saint John, Feb 10 2005 - Morning - Are you at least a junior level hockey player? Okay, then. Are you interested in acting for a made for television series about the legendary 1972 Canada / Russia hockey series? Of course you are.

Auditions for this network television mini series are being held at Fredericton's Aiken Centre on Wednesday, February 16. They begin at 8 AM and continue until 12 noon. You need to bring your own gear and be ready to go. The Aiken University Centre is located on University New Brunswick property. The easiest way to find it is by travelling on Beaverbrook Street until you find the main entrance for UNB Fredericton. Once you turn off of Beaverbrook, you’re on Mackay Drive. The Aiken Centre is located at 20 Mackay Drive.

The 1972 Canada Russia series reached a feverish pitch with about 3000 Canadians traveling to Moscow to personally witness the masterful play of the Canadians, who came from behind to clinch a world title and bragging rights. Record shattering television viewing audiences followed along back home, as "our boys" made everyone proud.
