LOOKING TO TOMORROW in the land of the sun
Saint John, Jan 25 2006 - Doing business in a foreign country requires some forethought, not just about your business strategies and how to execute the best laid plans, but, practical matters, such as respecting your hosts through understanding local practises and customs. After all, the strongest relationships are based on need and compatibility.
With that in mind, HIT! Media’s Greg Hemmings traveled to China, the world’s most populated country, with a business and government delegation from Saint John, New Brunswick, to record the group’s experiences as they worked to forge new relationships on matters of trade.
Led by CANLink Global, the group, over thirty strong (see photo of some members, below), visited Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Beijing.
The result is the documentary, “Chasing the Sun, an East Meets West Trade Mission”.
“Greg had unlimited access to the group. He captured our business objectives, recorded our work and activities in market, and followed our various successes. The video provides insights into how culture, history, and government all play pivotal roles in successfully doing business with China” say Mike Tilley, President of CANLink Global Inc.
The film will be screened at the New Brunswick Museum’s Mary Oland Theatre on Wednesday, February 01st, beginning at 7:00 PM. Admission is a free-will donation.
DVD copies of the documentary will be available at the screening for $30.00.
