short film needs male lead

Saint John, Nov 01 – Casting is underway for a short film by filmmaker Richard McQueen, a busy Saint John filmmaker who has screened his work at Silver Wave Film Festival and at Continental Drift International Short Film Festival. McQueen is an alumnus of NB Film's Short Film Venture Program, having obtained funding for MARKINGS, which is set to be screened at Silver Wave this month.

For McQueen, the greatest casting interest at this time is the male lead. Director McQueen describes the character as pivotal. He needs to be strong; one who is not necessarily good looking in a conventional way, but, could be. He appears to be in his mid-20's to mid 30's. 

The character is an actor and he is eroding, mentally. He starts off as somewhat of a poster boy for young men. Then, he shifts downwards, with low self-esteem leaving him unable to control his life. Spiralling downward, his obsessive nature causes him to take seriously drastic measures to become the star that his ego drives him to be....
