UPDATE: "I Made a Vow" Wows Audience at Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax

Halifax, Sep 23 - After premiering on national television, "I Made A Vow" hit the silver screen for a more personal viewing as part of the Atlantic Film Festival. Congratulations to former Saint Johner, filmmaker Juanita Peters, on a job well done. With a clear vision, touching story, memorable subjects, great shooting and lighting (nice touch with the backlighting!), uber-tight editing, and an unwavering commitment to fulfilling her vision, Peters has established herself as someone with a future in an increasingly competitive business.

Maritimes, August 03 - Tune into Vision Television on August 05th at 7 PM or CBC Television on August 12 at 7 PM for a documentary by former Saint John journalist and filmmaker, Juanita Peters. 

The documentary follows North Preston, Nova Scotia residents Robbie and Sharon as they wade their way through the planning and ceremony of their wedding in that province's oldest Black community; a place steeped in tradition and grandeur.

Watch as North Preston celebrates the nuptials of two of its own in its inimitable way... with big spending, a big wedding party, tons of style, soul rousing gospel music, and pageantry.
