RVFF CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Grand Bay-Westfield, March 08 -  River Valley Middle School proudly presents the 4th Annual River Valley International Student Film and Photography Festival.


This year, the festival is open to all schools (public and private) in all countries. The submission deadline has passed, with judging taking place in three locations in
Canada and China. The awards show and webcast will take place in March 2008.

There are two (2) divisions of competition -- Video and Photography. The Video division is made up of Documentaries, Commercials, Dramas, Comedies, and Animation. The Photography division is made up of Landscape, People and Experimental categories. Schools may submit nine photographs per category, for a total of twenty-seven (27) photographs, and one (1) film per category for a total of five (5) films from each school.

 

The films must be no longer than four (4) minutes in total length, and must have been produced during the 2006 or 2007 school years. Films must be in AVI, MOV or DVD format. Films not in one of these formats will not be accepted. That means that films for playback on VHS or MPEG will be disqualified. Photographs must be digital, in JPEG, TIFF or RAW format, with a resolution size capable of being printed as a 5 x 7 image. They too, must have been produced during the 2006 or 2007 school year. Movies and photographs will not be returned.

There is no charge to enter the River Valley International Student Film and Photography Festival. This festival promotes student accomplishments and creativity.
