Province-wide - The latest casting call takes place Thursday, March 20; location unspecified. The actual shoot, a TV commercial encouraging people to vote, is on March 26, and takes place in the southeastern part of the province.

 

Actors must be originally from New Brunswick. Non-union and union actors welcomed. All roles are principal roles.

Saint John, Nov 01 – Casting is underway for a short film by filmmaker Richard McQueen, a busy Saint John filmmaker who has screened his work at Silver Wave Film Festival.

 

Of greatest interest at this time is the male lead. Director McQueen describes the character as pivotal, and needs to be a strong; one who is not necessarily good looking in a conventional way, but, someone who is attractive in their own way. He appears to be in his mid-20's to mid 30's.

May 01  2004 - It was going to be a good and busy day; that much was clear.

 

One small group of men and women arrived well ahead of the scheduled start time. The looks exchanged between casting call staff were a mix of pleasant surprise and percolating anxiety. Was this an indication of the level of interest? Time would tell. And, it did.
